Top 5 Things To Do/See In Cancun, Mexico
Thinking of taking a vacation to Cancun? If you love year round warm, tropical weather and a good time i highly recommend Cancun! Myself, i’ve actually been to Cancun/Playa/Tulum 20+ times.
#1: Book a Hotel along the main strip and get all-inclusive service
If you have the budget, stay along the main strip. You’ll love the ocean views from your room, you’ll also be right on the main beach. And including all-inclusive service means you can eat and drink as much as you want all day/night long. It’s a very fun and relaxing atmosphere and probably the safest area of Cancun.
#2: Head over to Isla Mujeres for the day
To escape the loud beat of Cancún’s nightlife and beaches, you can head to Isla Mujeres (the Island of Women). Though the island is small there is still much to do on this island just 8 miles off the Yucatán. Isla Mujeres also remains popular for its many sea turtles, and you can glimpse the creatures at the local tortugranja. The farm contains hundreds turtles and an aquarium. So if you are facinated by turtles don’t miss out on Isla Mujeres.
3.) Coco Bongo
Still considered the best spot for nightlife in Cancún Mexico, Coco Bongo isn’t just a traditional, DJ nightclub. Instead, thousands of people traveling around the world pack the place to witness constant performances from acrobats performers, conga lines around the venue, live musical artists and musical impersonators. A night at Coco Bongo will involve projected videos graphics, hundreds of balloons, soap bubbles and confetti.. You’ll love Coco Bongo if you like letting loose and experiencing night life.
4.) Explore The Mayan Ruins
Coba, Chichen Itza and Tulum are all doable if you want to make it a day trip, but still quite a little bit of a trek. El Rey, named for a skeleton, at the site, is close to Cancun’s Hotel Zone —and many people do not even know about it The Yucatan’s rich Mayan heritage comes alive through 47 stone sculptures dating all the way back to 1250 A.D. I recommend planning 1-2 nights of your trip in Tulum to see the amazing beach and ceynote’s that are also in the area.
